Modern root canal treatment is much more comfortable than its reputation. With thorough local anesthetic, most patients report feeling pressure but not pain during the procedure. It is often comparable to having a large filling placed. We also offer sedation for patients who feel anxious.

We save teeth whenever it is clinically sound to do so. Extraction is the right choice when a tooth is severely fractured below the gum line, has an infection that cannot be resolved with a root canal, or has so little bone support that keeping it would put neighbouring teeth at risk. We will always explain why an extraction is recommended before proceeding.

It depends on the procedure and your preference. Most extractions and minor oral surgery are done under local anesthetic. You are awake but numb and do not feel pain. For patients who want to be less aware, we offer oral sedation and IV sedation options. We will discuss what is most appropriate for your procedure at your consultation.

A traditional denture rests on the gum and may shift during eating or speaking. An implant-supported denture snaps or attaches to dental implants placed in the jaw, giving you far greater stability and a more natural feel. Implant-supported options are generally more comfortable for everyday use and preserve more jawbone over time.

A sleep appliance is a custom-fitted device worn during sleep that gently holds the lower jaw in a slightly forward position. This keeps the airway open, reduces vibration that causes snoring, and can prevent the airway collapses that characterise sleep apnea. They are a well-studied, comfortable alternative to CPAP for mild to moderate sleep apnea.

Most major procedures (root canals, extractions, and oral surgery) are covered by dental insurance, typically at 50 to 80% after your deductible.
